The Cave of the Lakes is located near the village Kastria Achaia 16.5 km. From Kalavryta.
Self Cave has something exclusively unique, the 13 successive terraced lakes, make it unique in the world. The exploited length of the cave is 500 m., While the total length is 1,980 m.
Visitors enter the cave through an artificial tunnel which leads directly to the second (of three) floor. The crossing of the lakes is by artificial overhead bridges.

In 1964, residents of Kastrion went first to the second floor with wooden ladders from shoulder 9 m. The cave was explored by the EOS (Greek Mountaineering Association) with Professor I.. Melentis and mapping of the EWC (Greek Speleological Society) with speleologist Anna Petrochilou.
